Greece Trip (5/31/2007) IL

Il flew into Athens at midnight and made his way to our hotel at 9 am in the morning. We had breakfast together. He then took off to visit Acropoli by himself.

Biajee, Arnold and I went to mom's new tomb to check on the limestones and then we dropped by the American Embassy to pick up Biajee's passport.

The American Embassy in Athens is reachable by subway. There was a long line already by the time we got there. Biajee's new visa is only valid for 3 months. The visa officer asked Biajee a lot of tough questions during the interview, such as why he had been applying for non-immigrant visas instead of immigrant visas, what he had been trying to do, etc, etc. Biajee was not prepared for such bombarding of questions, fortunately he came up with reasonable answers that he was studying in the States and then he was working.

We reunited with IL at 3 pm in the afternoon at the McDonald's in Monastiraki Subway Station. Then we strolled to a park and picked up our laundry and went to another Chinese restaurant (Fulihua). It was not as good as the previous one we dined at, but still quite impressive according to IL's daily meal standard.
