Sleepless Night
Arnold refused to go to bed last night so we decided to go to Safeway and shop at 11:30 pm. We bought some milk and breakfast food and pushed Arnold around in kid's shopping cart. He finally got tired before we went home and slept in our bed for the rest of the night.
Both Biajee and I were exhausted. Then I had a 7 am conference call this morning, which was almost the last straw. Believe it or not, I've been extremely busy at work these days because Staples is closing our CE Asia office on Oct. 24th.
The Senate has passed the $700 billion rescue plan. Now we're focusing on what Congress will vote for. But if it fails to pass Congress, it'll be voted again and again till it gets passed.
Cash on hand is very valuable during this drastic time. The value of US dolloar is suddenly at year high against Euro - it's 1.38 USD to 1 Euro today, almost similar to the rate last year when we were in Europe. We only hope that treasury doesn't print out the $700 billion.
